L’Oréal-UNESCO A Nőkért és a Tudományért Magyar Ösztöndíj 2026

The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Hungarian Scholarship 2026 awards competitive research grants to early-career women scientists working in Hungary. It targets PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and physician-researchers in natural/life sciences, materials science and formal sciences. The 2026 edition offers three individually awarded, discretionary scholarship grants to successful applicants. Applicants must be based at Hungarian higher education or research institutions or otherwise participate in Hungarian research.

A cash scholarship of HUF 2,500,000 per recipient (three awards in 2026).

Open to women conducting scientific research at Hungarian higher education institutions, research institutes or research networks; eligible applicants include PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and research-active physicians. Applicants must have Hungarian citizenship or, if foreign nationals, have participated in Hungarian research for at least one year or be employed at a Hungarian institution; applicants must be under 40 years old in 2026 (age limit may be extended for child-rearing or specified leave).

Applications must be submitted electronically in English via the specified online platform and include CV, PhD certificate copy, publication list, two recommendation letters, project summary in Hungarian and an abstract in English, and other supporting documents.
