ARUA Early-career Research Fellowships 2025

The ARUA Early-career Research Fellowships 2025 fund up to 42 early-career researchers to conduct globally competitive research at ARUA Centres of Excellence. Each fellowship lasts six months, with responsibilities including research, publications, presentations, and dissemination of findings. Fellowships provide a stipend, accommodation support, and travel funding to the host institution.

Stipend, accommodation support, travel funding, office space at the host CoE, potential additional support for eligible women.

African nationals with a PhD in a discipline related to the Centre of Excellence are eligible. Applicants should be within 5 years of PhD completion, be young faculty or research staff at an ARUA university, and be available to spend 6 months away from their home institution; female applicants are encouraged.

Submit required documents: cover letter, full CV, letter of support from home institution, evidence of PhD, concept note outlining proposed research, writing samples, and two referees.
