Scholarship for the Field of Education and Training

The Scholarship for the Field of Education and Training is a publicly funded scholarship awarded to students of pedagogical study programmes to encourage study of teaching professions and subsequent employment in the Slovenian education system. It is granted on the basis of a public call issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend and is paid for up to an academic year on a twelve-month basis. Recipients are obliged to complete their studies and to work in a Slovenian educational institution for a period at least equal to the number of years the scholarship was received.

Monthly stipend of 300 euros paid monthly for the duration of the scholarship (twelve months per academic year).

Candidates must be enrolled in a study programme that grants a qualification legally required to perform educational work as a professional worker in the field of education and training, and must not be in employment or registered as jobseekers at the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia. Exceptionally, scholarships may be granted for study abroad if no appropriate programme exists in Slovenia.

Awarded via a public call (public tender) published by the ministry; applicants apply according to the requirements of the public call and submit required documents by the stated deadline.
