Programa de Desenvolvimento Acadêmico Indígena (PDAI)

The Programa de Desenvolvimento Acadêmico Indígena (PDAI) provides scholarships for Indigenous students to pursue graduate studies. The programme includes master's and doctoral scholarships distributed across participating postgraduate programs (PPGs) in Brazilian higher education institutions. A total of 325 scholarships were allocated under Edital nº 23/2026, with 214 for master's and 111 for doctoral studies. The list of participating PPGs and the number of scholarships per program is available on the Capes portal.

Indigenous students interested in enrolling in master's or doctoral (PhD) programmes may apply/consult participating PPGs.

Consult the list of participating postgraduate programs on the Capes portal and follow the respective program selection procedures in accordance with Edital nº 23/2026.
