Canada Music Fund

The Canada Music Fund (CMF) provides financial assistance to support Canadian music artists, entrepreneurs and organizations in activities that develop artists, promote their music and expand audiences. It has two components: Individual Initiatives, which support activities central to artist development and promotion, and Collective Initiatives, which support activities that build industry skills, export-readiness and competitiveness. Delivery is through FACTOR for the Anglophone market and Musicaction for the Francophone market. A new CMF initiative under the 2023-2028 Action Plan for Official Languages provides targeted annual funding for Francophone official language minority communities and artist-entrepreneurs.

Funding is delivered through the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR) for the Anglophone market and the Fondation Musicaction (Musicaction) for the Francophone market.
