German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarship Programme 2026

The German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarship Programme offers a four-week compact programme in Berlin for politically and socially committed young university graduates from sub-Saharan Africa. The program includes a one-week internship in the office of a member of the German Bundestag, workshops on topics such as anti-corruption and intercultural training, and a project-management workshop to develop ideas for promoting democracy and civil society in participants' home countries. In 2026, the program runs from January 5 to February 3, 2026, in Berlin, with scholarship support and accommodation provided.

Scholarship of 700 euros, free accommodation, travel costs covered, health/accident/liability insurance.

Nationality of one of the participating countries; younger than 30 years of age at the beginning of the scholarship; completed university studies; good knowledge of German (at least B2); strong interest in political contexts and social/political commitment.
