National Treasury Bursary Scheme 2027

The National Treasury Bursary Scheme is a fully funded programme for eligible South African students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in fields needed by the public sector. It covers tuition, accommodation, board/examination fees, prescribed study materials, editing costs and a monthly allowance. Applications are open for the 2027 bursary cycle and are targeted at high-achieving students registered or accepted at a South African higher education institution.

South African citizens enrolled or registered for full-time undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a registered South African higher education institution, entering third-year undergraduate, honours, or master’s studies in 2027.
