PhD in Political Science – Co-Designing Inclusive Political Representation (WEAVE)

The PhD in Political Science is a four-year funded doctoral scholarship hosted by UCLouvain and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) as part of the WEAVE project on Co-Designing Inclusive Political Representation. The position combines theoretical work with participatory qualitative fieldwork in Brussels and leads to a joint UCLouvain–VUB PhD degree. The scholarship includes a dedicated budget for fieldwork, conferences, training, and dissemination, with start in October 2026.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Political Science or related social sciences, be willing to conduct extensive fieldwork in Brussels, and have strong French proficiency with good English writing/speaking skills (Dutch is an asset). International applicants are welcome.
