Royal Society Biology Letters Early Career Researcher Competition 2025

The Royal Society Biology Letters Early Career Researcher Competition 2025 invites early career researchers who have completed a postgraduate degree within the last six years to submit original Manuscripts to Biology Letters. The overall winner receives £1,000 and two runners-up receive £500 each. Submissions for the 2025 competition were accepted between 13 January 2025 and 30 April 2025, with entrants opting into the competition via the submission system.

Prize money: £1,000 for the overall winner and £500 for each of the two runners-up.

Open to all early career researchers (ECRs) defined as someone who has completed a postgraduate degree within the last six years.

Submit the manuscript through the Biology Letters submission system and opt into the competition.
