WE-Heraeus Teacher Training in Astronomy

The WE-Heraeus Teacher Training in Astronomy is a nationwide, multi-day professional development event for school teachers focused on contemporary astronomy and its didactics. The programme combines plenary scientific lectures by invited researchers with afternoon subject-didactic workshops, hands-on sessions and idea exchanges. Topics for 2026 include gravitational waves, the inner solar system and exoplanet atmospheres, with emphasis on observation technology, spaceflight and interdisciplinary connections to physics.
