Call for nominations of experts for second global assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services

The second IPBES global assessment invites qualified experts to apply or be nominated to participate in the assessment, which will be conducted by an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary team. The assessment aims to build knowledge since 2019 to inform policy decisions and is delivered by 2028. Selected experts may need to attend author meetings, with some support for attendees from developing countries.

Experts should have experience in regional and global analyses related to nature and nature’s contributions to people across ecosystems, with interdisciplinary backgrounds; indigenous and local knowledge, policy expertise and practitioner involvement are valued.
