Citizen AI Arts & Technology Fellowship 2026-2027

The Citizen AI Arts & Technology Fellowship is a funded fellowship for multigenerational artists and creatives to explore the relationship between art, AI, emerging technologies, democracy, and public life. It provides a stipend for Year 1 and offers additional opportunities and compensation in Year 2 as the project progresses. It invites applicants from diverse disciplines and backgrounds who are engaged in creative practice and are curious about the social and ethical dimensions of technology.

Year 1 stipend of $3,000; potential compensation and opportunities in Year 2 for expanded involvement in production, facilitation, and public programming.

No academic degree or prior AI expertise required. Applicants must have an active creative practice or sustained engagement in a creative field and an interest in the relationship between creativity, technology, community, democracy, and public life.
