Google Research Scholar Program 2025

The Google Research Scholar Program provides unrestricted gifts to support research at institutions around the world for early-career professors. The program funds research activities with grants of up to $60,000 USD and aims to foster collaborations and long-term relationships between scholars and Google. Awards are disbursed as unrestricted gifts to the university and are intended for use during the academic year in which the award is provided.

Applicants must be a full-time assistant, associate, or professor at a university or degree-granting research institution at the time of application. PhD must have been earned within seven years of submission (exceptions possible for certain delays). Applicants can submit one application per round and may serve as PI or Co-PI; multiple proposals are not allowed.
