Simons Postdoctoral Fellowships in Plant Biology

The Simons Postdoctoral Fellowships in Plant Biology provide funding for postdoctoral researchers pursuing basic questions in plant biology, with flexibility to accommodate researchers from related fields applying their expertise to plant science. The program supports one- to three-year appointments at US nonprofit research institutions, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches and mentorship from plant biology-focused mentors. Awards include a stipend and research and accommodation allowances to support the fellow and their research activities.

Annual stipend of $85,000 plus an annual research allowance up to $35,000; relocation allowance up to $2,000; health insurance and other benefits may be included as allowed by the host institution

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent by the award start date and no earlier than three years before the deadline; both U.S. citizens and non-U.S. applicants may apply to work with postdoctoral sponsors in the U.S.
