AWARD Leadership Program for Emerging African Women in Agricultural Sciences 2025

The AWARD Leadership Program for Emerging African Women in Agricultural Sciences 2025 is a fellowship funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and implemented by AWARD. It is designed to build leadership capacity, mentoring, and professional networks for young women scientists in agricultural sciences across Africa, enabling them to advance in their careers and promote gender integration in agriculture.

Leadership and mentoring training, access to a professional network, tools for personal branding, opportunities to increase visibility through presentations and media engagements, and training in gender-responsive agricultural research to advance career progression.

Applicants must be 35 years or younger at the time of application, have at least a bachelor’s degree in any agricultural science discipline, have at least five years of agricultural sector experience, and be a citizen of Ethiopia, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria or Malawi, residing in Africa and actively engaged in agriculture-related work; current AWARD Fellows are not eligible.
