PhD Position in Soil Biogeochemistry at the University of Wyoming – 2027 Intake

A funded PhD opportunity in soil biogeochemistry is available at the University of Wyoming for prospective doctoral students. The PhD candidate will join the Soil Carbon and Organic matter Response to Environmental change (Soil CORE) Lab and conduct independent research on how soil organic matter responds to climate and management changes. The position provides funding through a combination of research and teaching assistantships for at least four years, with an anticipated start in summer 2027.

Financial support through RA/TA positions for at least four years; opportunities for professional development and collaboration within the Soil CORE Lab.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree and have a background in soil science, ecosystem ecology, global change science, environmental management, or related areas; applicants with an MS degree are preferred, and there is also a separate funded MS position advertised in the same lab.
