Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships

The Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships support women from developing and emerging economies to undertake PhD or post-doctoral research in STEM disciplines at leading universities worldwide. The programme provides annual grants based on actual eligible costs and may be renewed through to completion of studies. Awards in biological sciences are limited to interdisciplinary research between physical and biological sciences. The fellowship also expects recipients to contribute to strengthening faculties and socio-economic development in their home countries.

Annual grant covering eligible research/study costs (up to USD 50,000/year for PhD and up to USD 40,000/year for post-doc), renewable through completion; support to study or conduct research at leading universities worldwide.

Applicants must be female citizens of a developing or emerging economy (not hold dual citizenship with a developed country), preparing for a PhD degree or post-doctoral research in STEM; they must be enrolled, admitted or have applied to a host university/research institute abroad. Candidates should have an excellent academic record, demonstrate teaching experience or commitment to teaching, participate in faculty life and outreach to encourage young women into science, and be willing to contribute to socio-economic development of their home country.
