European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) 2023

The European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) is an annual physics competition for high school students that combines theoretical and experimental examinations. The contest typically lasts five days and includes a five-hour experimental exam and a five-hour theoretical exam with three problems. National teams (up to five students plus one leader) represent their countries; guest teams from outside Europe are welcome. Medals (gold, silver, bronze) are awarded according to score thresholds determined after appellation.

Medals (gold, silver, bronze) awarded to participants meeting score thresholds; competition experience including theoretical and experimental exams.

The competition is for high school students; contestants must not have reached their 21st birthday by June 30 of the competition year (i.e. age must not exceed twenty years on June 30). Each participating country may send one team of up to five students and one leader; the host country may send a second team. Guest teams from non-European countries are welcome.

Each country organises team selection and registers a team (up to five students and one leader). Team leaders can register to obtain an invoice and specify team details; interested leaders should contact the organisers to express interest if not pre-registered.
