Jerome R. Lewis Legislative Fellows Program 2027 at the University of Delaware

The Jerome R. Lewis Legislative Fellows Program 2027 is a paid, semester-long public policy fellowship hosted by the University of Delaware Institute for Public Administration in partnership with the Delaware General Assembly. Fellows conduct nonpartisan research, staff committees, and write policy analyses, with an accompanying three-credit seminar in state government and policy. The program is aimed at graduate and advanced undergraduate students and includes a paid placement with opportunities to gain professional and academic credit.

Open to full-time master’s degree students or qualified junior- or senior-level undergraduates from partnering universities, with strong interest in the legislative process and writing skills.

Applicants submit documents, complete a timed-writing exercise, and participate in interviews following a four-step selection process
