Project Officer

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Nairobi is recruiting for a Project Officer to support work on plastic pollution, circular economy development and environmental sustainability within Kenya’s NPAP Secretariat. The role involves coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives, policy engagement and programme delivery to advance Kenya’s circular economy and waste management objectives. It is a one-year contract based in Nairobi with responsibilities spanning project coordination, stakeholder engagement and reporting.

Applicants should have an advanced university degree in environment, public policy, environmental engineering, international development, management, social sciences or a related field; candidates with a bachelor’s degree plus two years of qualifying experience may also be considered.
