CINTAS Foundation Fellowship in Creative Writing

The CINTAS Foundation Fellowship in Creative Writing is a monetary fellowship awarded to writers of Cuban descent who demonstrate talent and promise in the literary arts. It supports both emerging and established writers working in genres such as fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and other literary forms. Recipients are encouraged to contribute a signed work or writing sample to the CINTAS Fellows Collection following their fellowship year. The award amount is $25,000 USD and is taxable under U.S. law.

$25,000 USD award and inclusion/contribution to the CINTAS Fellows Collection; institutional recognition as a CINTAS fellow.

Applicants must be of Cuban citizenship or of Cuban descent (parent or grandparent). Graduate students in creative writing are eligible to apply. Performing artists are not eligible. Non-U.S. citizens living abroad must provide a U.S. taxpayer identification number if awarded. Applicants must have or create a Google (Gmail) account to submit materials.
