Deutsch-französische Kinderbegegnungen

Deutsch-französische Kinderbegegnungen are supported encounters for children that enable bilingual and intercultural contact through play and nonverbal communication. The programme is designed for very young participants and emphasises attentive supervision, safety, and activities using language animation methods. The DFJW provides subsidies for travel and stay and may support pedagogical supervision and sprachanimation activities; partner organisations organise the practical modalities and registrations.

Subsidies for travel and accommodation; possible support for pedagogical supervision and language-animation activities; organised childcare and activity programme.

The encounters target children roughly between 3 and 12 years old. Organisers must partner with a French partner organisation and coordinate via their national Dachverband, which forwards the funding application to the DFJW.

Organisers must find a French partner and contact their umbrella body (Dachverband) which supports the project and submits the funding application to the DFJW; registrations for places happen via the partner organisations or local city administration.
