ENS International Selection

The ENS International Selection is a competitive scholarship programme run by École normale supérieure (ENS-PSL) for outstanding international students to pursue advanced studies in France in Science or Arts and Humanities. Successful candidates join the ENS academic community and continue their studies at ENS-PSL and a partner university toward a Master’s degree and the ENS diploma. Admitted students receive a monthly grant and campus accommodation and participate in ENS academic and interdisciplinary training. The selection includes application review and written and/or oral examinations depending on the chosen track.

Monthly grant of €1,000 for 36 months; accommodation on an ENS-PSL campus; access to ENS academic and research environment; interdisciplinary training; pathway to a Master’s degree and ENS diploma.

Open to international applicants whose university studies have taken place outside France and who have already completed part of their undergraduate education; intended for candidates entering Licence 3 (third year bachelor) or Master 1. Applicants must be no older than 25 on the application opening date, 16 October 2026.
