Reporting Together: German-Ukrainian Journalist Exchange 2025

n-ost, in cooperation with the Prague Civil Society Center, invites 10 journalists from Ukraine and Germany to take part in the Reporting Together: German-Ukrainian Journalist Exchange. The project aims to strengthen professional ties between journalists in both countries and foster on-the-ground reporting on Ukraine in German media. The program begins with an in-person meeting in Berlin and includes cross-border collaboration, travel to Ukraine for reporting, and publication of stories in German media.

Stipend of €1,000 per participant; travel grants for research trips; opportunity to collaborate with cross-border teams and publish stories in German media.

Applicants from Ukraine must be based in Ukraine with a record in Ukrainian and/or international media; applicants from Germany must be based in Germany with experience in reporting on Ukraine. All candidates must be proficient in English, have at least 3 years of journalism experience, and be willing to collaborate across borders.

Apply individually by outlining topics of interest related to Ukraine; submitting a detailed story idea is encouraged but not mandatory.
