Hidden in Plain Sight: Uncovering South Africa's Unknown Fungi

A public webinar presentation on fungal biodiversity in South Africa, introducing the MUFASA (Mapping Unseen Fungi Across South Africa) programme and methods combining field surveys, culture collections and genomics. The talk is delivered by Associate Professor Cobus Visagie of the University of Pretoria and highlights how modern taxonomy can inform agriculture, health and the bioeconomy. The event is hosted by the Royal Academy of South Africa and the Academy of Science of South Africa.
