L’ORÉAL Austria Award

The L’ORÉAL Austria Award is a national research grant for early-career female researchers in medicine, the natural sciences, or mathematics to carry out a research project in Austria. Awards are presented in cooperation with the Austrian Academy of Sciences and are intended to support candidates who have demonstrated research excellence through peer-reviewed publications. Each award is endowed with €25,000 and is non-divisible. Projects may facilitate development of proposals for third-party funding or reintegration after a research stay abroad or parental leave.

€25,000 grant for the research project

Female researchers who have completed their doctoral/PhD studies no more than four years ago as of the submission deadline, who are Austrian citizens or have had their primary residence in Austria for at least three years, who submit a specific basic-research project to be carried out in Austria, and who can demonstrate peer-reviewed publications. Career breaks due to care responsibilities, chronic illness, or disability may be considered for delay allowances.
