Becas para Estudios Universitarios de la Fundación Botín

The Becas para Estudios Universitarios is a regional scholarship programme run by Fundación Botín to support high-achieving students from Cantabria in commencing or continuing undergraduate (grado) studies. The scholarships have a nine-month duration and may be renewed annually if recipients continue to meet the selection criteria. In the 54th edition the foundation offers 47 scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year, allocated between studies within Cantabria and studies in other Spanish regions when the programme is not available locally.

Monetary award (€1,500 for studies in Cantabria; €5,000 for studies in other Spanish regions), nine-month duration, possibility of annual renewal if criteria continue to be met.

Open to young people born or residing in Cantabria who begin degree studies in the 2026/2027 academic year or who are already enrolled. Applicants must be under 25 years old, not hold a prior degree, have resided in Cantabria for at least the three years immediately prior to application, and must not be receiving another scholarship for the same purpose. Selection is based on academic excellence with minimum grade thresholds depending on field of study.
