Daland Fellowships in Clinical Investigation

The Daland Fellowships in Clinical Investigation are competitive post-clinical-training fellowships supporting patient-oriented research in branches of clinical medicine such as internal medicine, neurology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery. Fellowships are normally one year with renewal for a second year contingent on satisfactory progress. Recipients are expected to devote essentially 100% of their time to research at a U.S. institution under a scientific advisor and must have direct patient contact as part of the research.

Annual stipend of $40,000 (year 1) with possible renewal for a second year at $40,000; full-time research support under a scientific advisor.

Applicants must have held an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., D.O./Ph.D., D.N.P., or D.N.P./Ph.D. degree for fewer than eight years and are generally expected to have completed some clinical training; applicants (U.S. citizens and foreign nationals) must expect to perform their research at an institution in the United States under the supervision of a scientific advisor and must have direct patient contact.
