Prix de la composition musicale

The Prix de la composition musicale is a residency prize awarded by the Fondation des Treilles to support the creation of a musical work for concert, stage or audiovisual media. The prize comprises a three-month residency at the Domaine des Treilles (Var, France) and a monthly stipend. The residency includes accommodation, meals and use of a composition studio; travel to and from the resident's place of residence is also covered.

Open to professional composers whose music has already been recorded or performed. The submitted project must be the subject of an existing contract or commission with a public or private musical institution which identifies the parties, the work, the artist's remuneration and the date of first performance (after the residency).

Submit an online application form including CV, list of works and project presentation; additionally send at least two scores (PDF) with corresponding recordings or audio files and the commissioning contract by email to prix.composition@fondationdestreilles.com. Files must include the contract of commission.
