2018 AGI Safety Grant Program

The 2018 AGI Safety Grant Program funded research projects addressing safety, alignment and governance issues related to advanced artificial intelligence and artificial general intelligence (AGI). Projects included work on moral learning for agents, iterated distillation and amplification / factored cognition experiments, governance and verification of AI agreements, and modelling incentives in an AI race. The programme awarded grants to multiple recipients to support technical and policy research outputs such as publications, workshops and consultations.
