CBAI Summer Research Fellowship in AI Safety 2026

The CBAI Summer Research Fellowship in AI Safety 2026 is a nine-week, fully-funded research program hosted in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It supports talented researchers in AI safety across technical, governance, and policy-oriented tracks, with mentorship, stipends, meals, accommodation, and research resources. The program provides opportunities to work with renowned labs and researchers and to present work at conferences and to policymakers.

Mentorship from researchers at MIT, Harvard, Northeastern and other institutions; dedicated in-house research managers; stipend; meals and accommodation; office space; networking opportunities; compute support; conference/workshop funding; potential extension fellowship.

Ideal candidates include undergraduate, master's, and PhD students, as well as postdocs or recent graduates who are committed to AI safety research; OPT/CPT accepted for international students, visa sponsorship not available.
