KU Leuven Agricultural Economics in Ethiopia PhD Scholarship 2025/2026

Full-time PhD scholarship offered by KU Leuven in Agricultural Economics, Ethiopia. The position is part of a research project examining social-ecological impacts of agricultural intensification on smallholder farmers in Ethiopia, with a focus on yields, household income, food security, and access to ecosystem services, under the Arenberg Doctoral School. The role includes research design, data analysis, fieldwork, and academic dissemination.

Full doctoral funding with health insurance, transport subsidies, access to university facilities, and professional development opportunities; enrollment in the Arenberg Doctoral School.

Candidates with a Master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering, Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, Natural Resources Economics, Environmental Economics, or a closely related field.
