University of Florence SHARE_Africa Fellowship 2025/26 for African Researchers

The SHARE_Africa PhD Research Scholarships provide PhD candidates with training in Italy or Africa, research support, mentorship from international experts, and a mobility period of six months. Each selected student receives a grant to cover travel, visa, health insurance, subsistence, and accommodation costs during the mobility period, with additional stipends as applicable.

€14,000 grant to cover travel, visa, health insurance, accommodation and subsistence during the mobility period; mentorship and research support during the program.

Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD program at an eligible African university (Annex 1) or one of six Italian partner universities, with at least one year remaining until graduation. Multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research aligned with the program goals is required.
