Science Academies Summer Research Fellowship Program for Students and Teachers 2026

A program of the three national Science Academies offering several two-month summer fellowships in 2026 for students and teachers to work with scientists associated with the Academies on short-term projects. Applications are invited from students and teachers studying or teaching in India at universities and colleges affiliated to UGC/AICTE/MCI/Accredited Institutions/Private Universities. Selected candidates work with an assigned guide for two months any time during the calendar year, preferably during the summer. The fellowships provide a monthly living fellowship and entitled round-trip train fare to the place of work.

Motivated students and teachers studying or teaching in India at universities and colleges affiliated to UGC/AICTE/MCI/Accredited Institutions/Private Universities; student applicants should provide the email id of one of their teachers for a recommendation letter.

Submit an online application via one of the Academies' websites (www.ias.ac.in, www.insaindia.res.in, www.nasi.ac.in); a registration number is assigned after submission and must be quoted in future correspondence.
