Czech Government Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies 2026

A fully funded short-term summer school programme funded by the Czech government offering intensive Czech language and cultural studies at several public Czech universities. The programme runs three to four weeks and combines academic instruction with cultural immersion, excursions and networking. It is aimed at students, academics, researchers, translators and professionals with interests in Czech language, literature, history and Slavonic studies. Courses are available from beginner (A0) to advanced (C1) levels and include lectures, seminars, workshops and organised excursions.

Tuition and registration fees, study materials, accommodation in student dormitories, board and lodging, access to organised cultural programmes, excursions, theatre visits and performances.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be citizens of an eligible partner country, be officially nominated by an authorised institution (such as the Embassy of the Czech Republic or a designated national authority), be available for the full duration of the selected course, and submit a completed application form and Curriculum Vitae in Czech or English.
