UNHCR Innovation Fellowship 2026

The UNHCR Innovation Fellowship is an annual innovation learning programme for UNHCR’s workforce and select partner organizations. It focuses on building innovation skills and supports Fellows to engage with colleagues, partners, and refugees to bring innovative approaches into operations. The programme includes a full curriculum with real-life assignments, online workshops, webinars, peer-support sessions, and engagement with alumni to support Fellows as they work on independent projects.

Online workshops and webinars, peer mentoring, practical innovation assignments, collaboration with global colleagues, and an ambassador role within UNHCR’s innovation ecosystem.

Open to UNHCR colleagues (at any level and based anywhere) and to members of partner organizations, including all UN agencies, NGOs and partner organizations of UNHCR.

Applicants submit a combination of video and written responses to prompts; applications are reviewed by the UNHCR Innovation team with multiple reviewers.
