South African Reserve Bank (SARB) Graduate Development Programme 2027 for young South Africans

The SARB Graduate Development Programme is a one-year programme starting February 2027, aimed at postgraduate graduates. Participants will be assigned to a SARB department, receive learning interventions focused on central banking, and develop personal and professional skills. Some graduates may be permanently appointed to a SARB department based on performance and fit.

Exposure to SARB departments, participation in learning interventions at the SARB Academy, development of professional skills such as communication and presentation, and potential permanent appointment after the programme based on performance and alignment with SARB values.

Open to candidates with a postgraduate qualification in fields such as Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Law, Information Technology, or related areas, who are South African citizens with strong academic records.
