International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT)

The International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT) is a team-oriented scientific competition in which secondary school students work on open-ended physics problems and present their research in head-to-head physics fights. Teams typically represent countries and compete in regional and international rounds culminating in a final tournament. The competition is aimed at fostering problem-solving, experimental and presentation skills in physics among high-school students.

Opportunity to compete internationally, present and defend physics solutions, receive feedback from an international jury, participate in cultural and excursion programme, and network with peers and scientists.

The tournament is for secondary school students organized in teams.

Teams participate via national delegations/registered countries; jurors applied via an online juror registration form and attended an online jury briefing.
