CfA AI Ethics Fellowship 2025

Code for Africa (CfA) is offering two fellowships to mid-career professionals with experience in digital governance, policy and rights to develop research and policy recommendations for the ethical adoption of AI in governance and civic technology in Africa. Fellows will work on analyzing regional regulations and global standards, and produce deliverables such as workplace policies, impact assessments, regulatory reports, and risk evaluations. Selected fellows gain support from CfA’s networks, training, and opportunities to showcase their work.

Stipend, mentorship, training access, real-world impact opportunities, networking, and chances to present capstone work to partners and events.

Policy experts and ethicists with governance, policy drafting, privacy or digital rights experience, and knowledge of frameworks like GDPR or OECD AI Principles; multilingual candidates preferred; location in eligible African countries.
