OpenAI’s AI & Teen Development Research Grant Program 2026

The OpenAI AI & Teen Development Research Grant Program 2026 funds independent research into how generative AI affects the lives and development of teens aged 13–17. The program supports projects exploring emotional development, social development, demographics, and safeguards, with the aim of informing product design and policy. Grants are awarded to individual researchers or teams affiliated with a research institution or organization, with a total funding pool of up to $5 million.
