UNESCO-Carlos J. Finlay Prize for Microbiology

The UNESCO-Carlos J. Finlay Prize for Microbiology recognises an individual, institution, non-governmental organization or other entity that has made an outstanding contribution to the field of microbiology and its applications through research and development. The prize is awarded jointly by UNESCO and the Government of Cuba to encourage research and development in microbiology. It covers scientific contributions related to microorganisms and their roles in health, industry and the environment.
