AI Fellows Programme Africa 2027

The AI Fellows Programme offers a 12-month fellowship for emerging artificial intelligence professionals to work with the Gates Foundation’s Africa team on AI-driven development projects in health, development and education. Fellows collaborate with government partners, technical experts and other stakeholders to design and prototype AI solutions, with emphasis on responsible innovation and equitable impact.

Participation in a 12-month fellowship with embedding within the Foundation’s Africa team, exposure to senior leadership and a network of development partners and experts, and opportunities to develop AI-driven solutions for development challenges in Africa.

Emerging technology professionals with interest in applying AI to development challenges in Africa.
