Internet Society Youth Ambassador Program 2026

The Internet Society Youth Ambassador Program selects a group of young people for a year-long program that provides Internet governance training, mentorship, and networking. Participants gain access to an international network, training in Internet governance, and opportunities to engage with a major Internet event. The program is designed to develop leadership and advocacy skills to influence Internet policy and community initiatives.

Participants join a network of Internet leaders, receive online Internet governance training, develop advocacy, communications, project management and leadership skills, attend a significant Internet event tailored to their profile, and gain mentorship from Internet leaders and experts.

Applicants must be 18-30 years old at the time of application, have strong English reading, speaking and writing skills, be comfortable with public speaking, have reliable Internet access and equipment, commit at least 4 hours per week for 12 months, participate in weekly meetings/webinars, be able to travel with a valid passport, and not have previously been selected for similar Internet Society ambassador programs.
