UNITAR Women’s Leadership in Disaster Risk Reduction Training Programme for World Tsunami Awareness Day 2026

The UNITAR Women’s Leadership in Disaster Risk Reduction Training Programme for World Tsunami Awareness Day 2026 is a fully funded capacity-building programme designed to develop women’s leadership in disaster risk reduction across the Asia-Pacific and Pacific Island regions. It comprises online learning (Phase I) and two subsequent in-person/online components (Phase II) for top performers, culminating in a UNITAR Certificate of Completion upon fulfilling all requirements. The initiative aims to equip participants with DRR knowledge, inclusive leadership skills, and practical plans for community resilience.

Online learning access, webinars with experts, two-phase specialized training, study tours and discussions with regional and international institutions, and a UNITAR Certificate of Completion upon fulfilment.

Open to motivated individuals aged 18 or older living in or from Pacific Island countries and territories or the Asia-Pacific region, with proficiency in English and computer literacy, and a commitment to completing all phases of the programme.
