The Summer Research Program is a 10-week, cohort-based undergraduate research internship run by the Duke University Department of Psychology & Neuroscience. It provides formal research training, mentor training for graduate student mentors, and hands-on work with ongoing faculty projects in developmental, social, and cognitive neuroscience. The program aims to increase representation of underrepresented and first-generation students in STEM by offering workshops, presentation practice, and professional development. Participants live on campus during the program and meet regularly for labs, workshops, and mentor feedback sessions.

Requisitos

Undergraduate students, with an emphasis on students from underrepresented backgrounds (including women, minorities, persons with disabilities) and first-generation students; participants are selected from applicants.

Solicitud

Applicants submit applications and are selected from a competitive pool (the program selected eight interns from over 400 applicants).
