Samstagsschule für begabte Handwerker

The Samstagsschule für begabte Handwerker is an annual intensive seminar programme for ten to fifteen outstanding journeymen across trades. It runs each year from April/May to November and consists of six one- to two-day, part-time seminars on leadership, business fundamentals, communication, trends in the trades, and practical site visits. Participants receive practical training, networking opportunities with master craftsmen and trainers from practice, and a certificate upon successful completion. The programme culminates in a public presentation of a jointly developed product.

The scholarship supports journeymen (Gesellen) who live or work in Frankfurt am Main; each year the ten to fifteen best journeymen of all trades are selected.

Participants are selected by the Handwerkskammer Frankfurt-Rhein-Main in cooperation with the Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft.
