Study Africa in Uppsala, Sweden: NAI Visiting Fellow Program 2026/2027 for African Researchers

The Nordic Africa Institute invites an established African scholar to apply for a one-year visiting fellowship in Uppsala, Sweden, for 2026–2027. The program supports research and policy-engagement activities, with the fellow based mainly in Sweden and opportunities to engage with Nordic decision-makers. PhD in political science, anthropology, geography, sociology, gender studies, international development, development economics or related field; seven or more years of post-PhD research experience; current research/teaching position in Africa; strong research output and policy-engagement track record.
