The Nordic Africa Institute invites an established African scholar to apply for a one-year visiting fellowship in Uppsala, Sweden, for 2026–2027. The program supports research and policy-engagement activities, with the fellow based mainly in Sweden and opportunities to engage with Nordic decision-makers. The fellowship is described as fully funded and includes salary considerations and various benefits; it is intended for scholars at a senior level with a strong research and policy-engagement track record.

Conditions d'éligibilité

PhD in political science, anthropology, geography, sociology, gender studies, international development, development economics or related field; seven or more years of post-PhD research experience; current research/teaching position in Africa; strong research output and policy-engagement track record.

Submit a proposal for 1 year, a complete CV with publications, links to publications, evidence of policy engagement, and references; apply through the online recruitment system.
