The JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship in Japan 2026/2027 offers a fully funded opportunity for pre- and post-doctoral researchers to carry out research in Japan. It is organized by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and welcomes applicants from all academic fields, providing an international research exchange experience with mentors and access to advanced facilities.

Avantages & financement

Airfare (round-trip to Japan), monthly allowance (362,000 JPY/month with PhD; 200,000 JPY/month without PhD; increases to 362,000 JPY after PhD is completed), Settling-in Allowance (200,000 JPY for stays of 3 months or longer), Health Insurance, Research Support up to 70,000 JPY/month via host institution application, and other related research expenses coverage.
