About this opportunity

The JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship in Japan 2026/2027 offers a fully funded opportunity for pre- and post-doctoral researchers to carry out research in Japan. Benefits & funding

Airfare (round-trip to Japan), monthly allowance (362,000 JPY/month with PhD; 200,000 JPY/month without PhD; increases to 362,000 JPY after PhD is completed), Settling-in Allowance (200,000 JPY for stays of 3 months or longer), Health Insurance, Research Support up to 70,000 JPY/month via host institution application, and other related research expenses coverage.

Apply through the ASEAN University Network (AUN) website after securing a host researcher in Japan; application reviewed by the nominating authority; results announced about three months after submission.
